About Doug:
Doug is widely considered to be a very experienced presenter and broadcaster. Whilst he enjoys teamwork, when the job demands it he is entirely comfortable working alone. His impressive CV includes presenting credits in both broadcast and corporate sectors internationally and in the UK; it also features high profile V.O.’s, Commercials and News Reporting/Anchorman credits. With a skill-set this varied and extensive, Doug is an invaluable asset to any production.

If, like Doug, you’re a Sports/Music/Gadget fan, you’ll be interested to know that Doug can often be seen popping up as an expert/host on various Sky/Freeview TV channels in the UK and on leading channels in Europe. His relaxed but informative style has proved popular with many viewers. Doug has the knack of making the most technical gadget user-friendly and appealing. As a serious runner and tri-athlete he is also enthusiastic about, and able to dispel the myths of, nutrition & fitness training. Doug has also presented magazine style shows dealing with everything from light entertainment to current affairs. His seamless interviewing style makes his shows watchable, and affords rare insights into what can be, at times, serious subjects; like few others, he manages to create an informative & entertaining format with apparent ease.
Corporate
One of Doug’s recent, high-end success stories has been APTN’s (now ‘A P Television News’) re-branding videos, which he has presented and voiced. The videos promote A P Television News’s facilities and satellite systems, which are used by various news channels to access war zone and other news hotspot reportage.
Doug has worked recently in Slovenia, where he presented and co-hosted a corporate video produced by Slovenia’s leading TV production company (for ‘The Rovus vacuum cleaner’), and Malmo, Sweden, where he presented a corporate video for Tetra-Pak. You’ll be able to view this footage on the internet in spring.
With his regular presenting partner Karen Witchalls, Doug has also presented many corporate road shows for companies like Canon, Daewoo, Vauxhall, BT, Capital Radio and Sky Movies. The ‘Sky Movies Road Show’ was a particular favourite; the show toured the UK and was run live on TV; it featured games, and welcomed guests like the James Bond movies stunt team. Audience participation meant it was hard work but lots of fun!
Voice Overs and Commercials
Doug has just finished voicing more videos for A P Television News, and has also been featuring as the ‘father’ in the Daily Express TV Commercials. He was also seen recently as the pilot in the Privilege Insurance TV ads.
Other
Doug enjoys putting his experience and people skills to good use by co-producing and directing various corporate (live) shows. Both actors and presenters alike have enjoyed working with Doug. Why? Because, uniquely, he understands their needs whilst making sure those of the client are met and often exceeded.
Hobbies
A keen sportsman, Doug regularly competes in 10k, half Marathon and Full Marathons across the UK; he is also a club standard Tri-Athlete. His favourite events have been the London Marathon and the Royal Windsor Triathlon. Doug’s other interests in sport include Rugby UNion, Football (Norwich City Fan) and Athletics.
