About Ian:

Having experience in a wide range of fields, I consider myself a versatile presenter who is professional, flexible and enthusiastic with a good sense of humour. Recent appearances include work for Sky Sports, The Disney Channel, NASN, Insure Car & Bike Insurance, Rosetta Stone and Moonpig Cards. I have just finished filming a documentary for television regarding past life regression. As a voice artist I regularly voice for Hilton Hotels, Argos and HSBC. I have a good capacity for script learning, pride myself on good timekeeping and delivering the product on time. I am able to work on location or in studio, both with or without autocue. My interests include travel, history and a number of different sports.

Playoff Finals Event Presenter
‘Having organised the Ice Hockey Play-Off Finals Weekend for the past five years, I am well aware of the importance of having a good presenter. It needs to be someone with humour and confidence. It needs to be a person who will work well under pressure, and stick to strict timings, even with 7,000 screaming fans behind them. And of course it needs to be a professional. I can honestly say that working with Ian for the past couple of years has been a pleasure. He knows when to work the crowd, creating an electric atmosphere, and when to ensure clear concise announcements to ensure sponsors are happy.

Last minute script changes are never a problem, and his answer to everything is ‘yes, I can do that’ which is exactly what you need during the pressure of an event such as this. I can honestly say, that Ian holds together everything that is happening in the arena bowl, regardless of any near disaster occurring back stage. The presenter hired for the Weekend was Ian Houghton from the London Racers. He was recruited as soon as the Racers were knocked out of the Play-Offs, as it ensured a non-biased commentary. The service he provided over the weekend was superb. All sponsor announcements were clear and on time, which is vital with a title sponsor in attendance. All NIC health and safety announcements clear and concise, and as importantly, the way in which Ian worked the crowd with Mexican waves, cheering for their teams and creating what became an electric atmosphere, was just fantastic! Ian was supported by the Match announcer, and the pair worked incredibly well together.

ACTION:
It is believed that regardless of qualification, Ian would provide an unbiased and professional service. It is suggested he is hired again as soon as the Play-Off finals are booked.

All Our Lives Documentary
Having worked with Ian on three separate occasions I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He has natural qualities that so many working presenters have to work very hard for.
